ATTENTION ALL REAL ESTATE AGENTS - The regulations have changed if you're wanting to obtain your full real estate licence.
You have until the 30th of September 2021 to complete the "old" licence course, Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) which is made up of 18 units plus 3 which you have probably done as you are an Agent's Rep.
You also have until the 30th of September 2021 to apply to the BLA for your full licence.
If you can't or don't complete the "old course" and you want to be fully licenced then you will have to do the "new course" which consists of 18 units for Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice AND PLUS 12 units for the Diploma Of Property (Agency Management).
Going forward to become an Agent's Rep, you will have to complete the new course comprising 18 units in Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.

From March 2021, in NSW, Assistant Agents ( Agent's Rep's in Victoria) must complete their licence course within 4 years or leave the industry. They can return 12 months later. From March 2021, as an Assistant Agent, you cannot sign up anyone on a contract of sale and you cannot sign up anyone on a sales or rental authority.
