UPDATE: We now have a couple of spots available in this workshop - open to non-members of the MMQG

Sarah Hibbert is an award-winning modern quilt designer from the UK and
has been a quilter for more than 35 years. She has exhibited in many countries across the globe and her book ‘From Collage to Quilt’ has boosted her reputation internationally.

“From Collage to Quilt” is a fun two-day workshop where participants learn to turn paper collages into unique quilt designs.

Day one - students create original paper artwork using recycled materials like magazine pages, wrappers, and labels. They explore colour, balance and composition while developing a personalised design.
Day two - students transfer their paper design to fabric, learning various piecing techniques such as inserting circles, skinny strips and curves to recreate the design as a quilt (approximately 20 inches
square). The class also covers enlarging designs, adding texture and scaling projects to a larger format.

Suitable for both beginners and experienced quilters.

Ticket Price includes lunch on both days.

MMQG Members $280 - plus merchant fees - Early Bird tickets will go on
sale to members on Sunday 15th March 2026 at 12.01pm

Note: Members are required to enter a password to access the ticket sales between 15th March and 21st March. Password has been emailed to members and posted on Members page.

Non Members $305 - plus merchant fees - any remaining tickets will go on sale to non members on Saturday 21st March 2026 at 12.01pm
