What happened yesterday…not much 🤣

This perfectly sums up the day. I’m not normally a sit by the pool, drink cocktails and swim occasionally sort of guy. Today I am!

Our new digs. Nusa Dua beach, Mt Agung, cocktails by the pool. Squirrel feed by the breakfast staff at the crepe station and of course you can have fairy floss for breakfast.

A special shout out to Chef Wan. An accomplished chef and restauranteur. Recognised the world over. Such an entertaining demonstration which, as you would expect, was absolutely delicious!!

Today was a transition day but I had to share the coconut delivery guy. 😬

Day 4 - sadly the last day of the Ubud Food Festival. Lunch was The Forest Women Warriors Luncheon celebrating extraordinary indigenous ingredients from Indonesian forests sometimes forgotten. It was delicious! Preceding this was the judging of the best croissant. The judging panel headed by Kate Reid of Lune.

Day 3 - another great day at the Ubud Food Festival. The highlight was meeting and being thoroughly entertained by the brilliant Chef Wan.

Why would I get up at 5:30am on holidays? For a good market of course. This is Shindo market. There is fresh produce, including proteins (no photos), and cooked foods on offer. Thank you for the trip Made & Wayan!
