It's been quite the journey, this colouring book of mine. It was my very first publication but I found it was pretty average as far as a printed product was concerned. It took a fair bit of learning but I was finally able to pull all the things I needed to know and use together and update the colouring book that was the reason I began with the Zentangle Method in the first place. So, here it is :) - my colouring book; improved and ready for sale.

Playing with circles.

Detangle last Friday night was the first of the new format and by all accounts, enjoyed. I have transitioned from a teaching format to a guiding format where I introduce something new to the group as prompts and then a challenge. This is my piece. We used Mathura and Euca by Marks as the prompt with the challenge being make a border and/or twist them. A lot of fun to draw and fun use of my new acrylic gel pens to add a little colour.

The last 2 projects from the Tangled Folk Art Seris 2. These were a lot of fun. A joy to play with and create.

I Teach Tangling

The last Detangle session where I specifically taught a project was last night and I showed those who came a fun way to use coloured pencils on black as inspired by my class in Tangled Folk Art Series 2 with Art by Marieke. I also wanted to use a new pattern deconstructed by Duffy CZT called Shell-I.

I am taking a small break from teaching but will still run the Detangle sessions on a monthly basis with more of a social style of gathering. Still plan to have a bit of fun exploring things in the tangling world.
