ELDER FLOWER POWER! Sambucus nigra 'Black Lace' (PBR) is a gorgeous 3 x 3m shrub with black/purple foliage with a lace-like appearance. Umbels of tiny, sweet-smelling pink elder-flowers amass in summer. We love this shrub for its drama and seasonal interest. Mix into a full garden bed or plant in a row for an low, informal hedge.

Remembering those that have served and fallen in service. ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance set on the milestone of the landing of Gallipoli. Today we acknowledge the important contribution and suffering of all those who have served.

Celebrating 15 years! Grant joined our nursery 15 years ago - rising to a leadership role, before moving across to our Fleming’s Landscapes business. After a short break to care for his children, Grant returned to Fleming’s Nurseries in our Advanced Tree Nursery, however, occassionally you might see this friendly face delivering our winter stock!

Persian princess! Want something NEW for autumn? Consider Parrotia persica ‘JLColumnar’ Persian Spire. A dense tree with an irregular leaf & upright form, this princess is stunning! At just 8m - it won't be huge, and makes a great hedge in autumn with long lasting shades of reds, oranges and purple tones.

Purple Power! The never-fail Acer palmatum ‘Atropurpureum’ is a gorgeous Japanese maple reaching 4m with a rounded habit and finely divided, palmate leaves that emerge purple-red in spring and in autumn, foliage transitions to vibrant shades of crimson and orange, adding stunning seasonal beauty for any garden – large or small.

Thank you! To everyone that came along to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) last week, we met some amazing people. Congrats to Brendo! Here's cheers to 18 years of working with Fleming’s Nurseries QLD. Brendon has enjoyed various roles along the way and today coordinates our grower sales and deliveries. He also looks after the important orchards that produce the stock that will ultimately produce the trees, that the growers will grow, to provide the fruit many of us will buy and enjoy for decades to come. We are extremely grateful for the many years of service Brendon has given to this business!
