World Health Day is on April 7th, which also marks the 75th anniversary of the World Health Organization. In preparation of this observance, we're sharing learning resources on gender bias in healthcare and the negative effects it has on women. We see gender bias play out in situations where patients are assessed and diagnosed in a lower quality level because of their gender or with the assumption that male and female bodies behave and react the same way. It's important to note this bias also intersects with other forms such as racism, ableism, and ageism. We encourage you to learn more about this topic with our April media recommendations.
