The Deadlifts & Deathmetal origin story goes back over a decade.

I spent 7 years in a private PT studio in Alphington. It was a great place with great people, and D&DM started out as a once off concept that turned into monthly, then fortnightly, then weekly sessions. I have many fond memories of that space, but every time a metalhead trained with me I'd pop something heinous on the stereo only to have it turned off as soon as a "normal" person walked in.

I remember a usually very friendly boomer lady complaining quite persistently about the Immolation I was playing, proclaiming how she didn't like it and it "wasn't real music." Well, I don't like the fact that I'll likely never own my own house and that we're all gonna die in a big fire from climate change, but sometimes you don't get everything you want. Sometimes you will be in the same room as a flesh ripping solo.
Sorry not sorry.

We then moved to a small room in a larger gym. Again, great place, great people and many fond memories - but clients had to pay another membership on top of their D&DM rates and the space was far too small for our growing business.

Fast forward to today and we have our own, dedicated metalhead training space where the Immolation gets turned UP.

A place where you can enjoy the sweet sound of no one bitching about how they hate blast beats.

A studio where you get to come in as many times as you want each week for a fixed cost with no added gym membership fees.

A place which counters the group exercise class or F45/BFT style model - where every person attending has a program written specifically for THEM.

What's better than lifting to metal?

Getting PBs and insight into how to improve your technique on the big 3 while listening to metal.

Starting this week we have introduced one hour semi private sessions which cover the squat, bench and deadlift.

Typically, semi private sessions are for clients only, but we're offering you the opportunity to pop in for some casual levelling up.
Sessions run every fortnight, focusing on a different lift each time and with multiple classes in our schedule to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to attend.

This week is Bench, kicking off at 11.15am this Friday and 12.45pm this Saturday the 18th and we have just 3 spots left in each.
