Thanks to all the families who came to our open day today. We were excited to see such a large turn out.

Little possum had so much fun at Kinder that he decided to stay a bit longer. We'd love to get this little possum back to its family and it's patiently waiting on the table outside the front door !

Come explore our beautiful spaces, meet our wonderful teachers, and enjoy a free sausage sizzle while the kids test out our new playground. Plus, there’s a coffee cart and a bake sale too.

🎄🌟🎅 Another year at Heathmont East Preschool has come to an end and what a year it was! A huge congratulations to our wonderful Kinder children for a fantastic year of fun, friendship and learning.

Thank you once again to our amazing teachers, educators and parents for all your support and help this year. We are so lucky to have such an incredible community behind us!

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and safe break with family and friends.

We are looking forward to seeing many families back in 2026 and welcoming our new ones. Happy Holidays! ☺️

📣 Notice of the Annual General Meeting and Information Night 📣

📆Date: Monday 10th November
🕝Time: 6:15pm for a 6:30pm start
🏫Location: Heathmont East Preschool- 4a Pleasant Drive, Heathmont

Each year, the Preschool holds an Annual General Meeting to meet the requirements of its constitution and the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Act). During this meeting, you will meet the faces who've been steering the kinder this year and hear what's been happening behind the scenes to support our amazing teachers and kids. We will also be electing new committee members to support our preschool through 2026 and beyond.

This year, our AGM will be immediately followed by an Information night where you can meet the teaching teams and learn about some of the practicalities around starting kinder. Enrolment packs for 2026 families will also be distributed at the information session.

📣 Calling all 2026 parents! 📣

Heathmont East Preschool is run by a voluntary Committee of Management (CoM) – made up of parents from both the 3 and 4-year-old program, who collectively are responsible for the administration and management of the Preschool.

We are currently seeking parents to join the committee next year and to fill the roles of Publicity and Marketing, Enrolment, IT and Purchasing officers. The 2026 committee will be elected at the upcoming AGM on Monday 10th November.

It is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in the kinder community, meet other parents and make a difference in your child’s early education.

💐 Happy Early Childhood Educators' Day! 🌼

We are beyond lucky at Heathmont East Preschool to have the most dedicated, nurturing and supportive staff to make kinder such a memorable experience for our little ones. The Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten's Association (MIKA) manages the registrations for 20 kindergartens that are part of the Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme (CRES) in Maroondah.
