📣 Notice of the Annual General Meeting and Information Night 📣

Each year, the Preschool holds an Annual General Meeting to meet the requirements of its constitution and the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Act). During this meeting, you will meet the faces who've been steering the kinder this year and hear what's been happening behind the scenes to support our amazing teachers and kids. We will also be electing new committee members to support our preschool through 2026 and beyond.

This year, our AGM will be immediately followed by an Information night where you can meet the teaching teams and learn about some of the practicalities around starting kinder. Enrolment packs for 2026 families will also be distributed at the information session.

📣 Calling all 2026 parents! 📣

Heathmont East Preschool is run by a voluntary Committee of Management (CoM) – made up of parents from both the 3 and 4-year-old program, who collectively are responsible for the administration and management of the Preschool.

We are currently seeking parents to join the committee next year and to fill the roles of Publicity and Marketing, Enrolment, IT and Purchasing officers. The 2026 committee will be elected at the upcoming AGM on Monday 10th November.

It is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in the kinder community, meet other parents and make a difference in your child’s early education.

We are beyond lucky at Heathmont East Preschool to have the most dedicated, nurturing and supportive staff to make kinder such a memorable experience for our little ones. 📅 A reminder that “on time” applications for MIKA member kindergartens close on Monday 30 June.

The Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten's Association (MIKA) manages the registrations for 20 kindergartens that are part of the Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme (CRES) in Maroondah.

Tickets are now on sale for our preschool's major fundraiser for 2025 - Music Bingo!! Get ready to groove & win big at our Music Bingo fundraiser, where we'll be jamming out to tunes while raising money for our wonderful kinder!

There will be door prizes, games, silent auctions, an amazing raffle and of course, Music bingo to enjoy all through the night. Grab some friends, pack some food & drinks, and come meet the adults of your little people's new besties.

This year the theme is 'Movie Music' so come dressed as your favourite movie song. Think wicked, frozen, high school musical, the greatest showman, top gun, Saturday night fever, Greece, sound of music, footloose, the options are endless. Come as a table of pink ladies, a Maverick or Maria, just come and enjoy the fun. The night is always one to remember and a great community event, so book your seat, or table now!
