Spent quite a bit of time in Sydney recently at with .guitartech running through some masterclasses, had an absolute blast getting to know new people who share a like mindedness for all things guitar 🎸 Can’t wait to be back already. New dates available for most other states in the country!

dropped in an interesting build for me to complete recently, composing of an acrylic Dan Armstrong replica body, and a aluminium neck, complete with nickel silver frets and a brass nut.. Though about twice as heavy as your average Les Paul, these sorts of builds have proven to be menacing for those doom, drone riffs this demographic of guitarist loves. Whether or not it’s your flavour, this thing absolutely rips 🔥

Someone finally did it.. Stainless in the Josh Smith SL7 -
When this guitar was dropped a lot of people complained it didn’t come with stainless, however it’s a signature, and Josh never used to use stainless (except is custom shop 29.4” baritones) and so it was only a matter of time before I was asked to do it. I convinced Luca to go down a size, extra jumbo is cool and all, but there’s a common misconception that larger frets = longer fret life. So here’s the SL7 with 104x47 Jescar Music Stainless Steel fretwire. It’s glassy smooth, and future proofed just that little bit more.

Did some work for the great last week, and after careful consideration the working class man needed some new frets, as the previous were far too worn to re dress and crown while maintaining long life on the road. Special thanks to Mick for the recommendation, very honoured to work on an instrument such as this for an Australian rock legend 🇦🇺🎸

and I are 2 and 0 on his Masterbuilt Jackson.
What I initially thought was my first repair failing, ended up being a second crack that opened up near the old one (Pictured) a little more research on high strength epoxies just to be sure, and we’re out of the woodwork 🥁 (pun intended) a second time. shoutout to - Always a great time seeing your work come across my bench out here in Australia.

STOLEN 🚨!! My dad’s car was broken into and I had an incredibly sentimental instrument of mine stolen, along with a flight case and a bunch of my guitar repair tools and items.
If anyone sees either of these items for sale please let me know. The tools are useless to anyone who doesn’t repair guitars, but the guitar is incredibly sentimental to me.
Guitar:
Late 1974 Morris D28 Prototype number 001, hand build by Sadao Yairi (S.Yairi) and was a right of passage gift given to me by the late David Paul - It is in the same unplayable condition as pictured, and feature a sprice top with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and hand cut abalone binding and inlays.
White Pelican 1605:
Filled with guitar tech mats, sanding blocks, hand vices and other various tools.
Please share and keep your eyes peeled.

Worked on this when it was made for and I get to work on it now as a fan of Northlane here in Melbourne now owns it. Jackson knows what’s up, and this colour is right up there with some of the best, nitro burn or not! Nice guitar 🤘🏼

These RPI’s by are built so well, they never give me trouble when they come across my bench. This one setup in GCGCFAD respectfully, and ready for riffs.

There aren’t enough photos in the world to do this gorgeous signature Cutlass any justice, so the description here will be short. An absolute pleasure to work on in every aspect. Well done well done 👏
