One Design Office (ODO) is a multidisciplinary design firm specialising in the fields of Architecture, Product Design, and Branding.

Our design approach is to intentionally cross-pollinate between these fields, giving us the capability to facilitate the creative process from a holistic perspective. We’re drawn to finishes that carry a sense of texture and honesty, materials that settle in, rather than stay fixed.

It’s less about a specific palette, more about how a space is experienced.

At Blairgowrie, the language is curves and calm.

A deliberately pared-back material palette allows the arches to take focus, each one shaping light and movement through the home.

A warm-toned concrete render, finished with a subtle horizontal brush, brings depth and softness, grounding the architecture in its coastal setting.

We’re proud to share that 1 Hotel Melbourne has been recognised with two major honours at the Australasia-Pacific Hotel Design Awards, receiving Hotel of the Year (New Build) and the Paul Davis Award.

Celebrating excellence in hotel design across the region, these awards recognise projects that bring together innovation, sustainability, and meaningful guest experience.

For us, this project has always been about more than outcome. It’s the result of deep collaboration, thoughtful process, and a shared commitment to creating places that are enduring, responsive, and grounded in context.

Every surface inside .melbourne tells a material story — granite skins, recycled railway sleepers, elm trees cleared for Melbourne’s metro, wharf timbers salvaged from beneath the city’s piers.

Sustainable design isn’t a feature. It’s a decision made at every turn.

By day, a sculptural form grounded in rhythm, proportion and material. By night, it transforms, light, movement and interaction taking over.

Designed by ODO, this pavilion explores the space between architecture and art, where structure becomes experience and public space becomes something felt.

This World Art Day, we celebrate the harmony between disciplines, where architecture doesn’t just shape space, it becomes art.
