I have had the privilege to spend time with Stephanie this year. At 82 years old she is dynamite. This session is aimed at helping you work with your harvest basket. I’ve always been good at growing but the preparing I’m still working on. I’m excited for this one. 🥒

🍋 Don't miss the opportunity to attend a masterclass from one of Australia’s most revered cooks, Stephanie Alexander, on Tuesday 22 November.

🥕 Tap into Stephanie’s insights as she delves into a harvest basket of summer produce, sharing tips and tricks for preparing fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs in this unique online event.

Meet Early Childhood Project Officer, Natasha Grogan 15/12/2020

So happy I can continue to connect Australian children with nature and with food that they have grown themselves.
I hope you’re all moving into a time of relaxation and family xx

Meet Early Childhood Project Officer, Natasha Grogan Earlier this year the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation launched its Kitchen Garden Program for Early Childhood. This program is the first of its kind for pre-school aged children in Australia, and was developed in consultation with the early childhood community.

It is with a full heart and after almost 8 incredible years, I am announcing The Sage Garden will cease operating as a business. Connecting children with nature is my passion and I am proud to have created a space that embraces and nurtures that philosophy, it has been pure joy. This year chucked challenges at us all that we couldn't have anticipated and for my small business the knock on effect was enormous. This was not how I had imagined 2020 finishing. However, as The Sage Garden went into deep hibernation I was given an opportunity I wouldn't have otherwise given myself, to reflect and to spend quality time with my family (and animals). As hard as the decision has been, I wanted to explore what other possibilities were out there for me and if there were other ways communities could benefit from my 20 years of experience working with children and teaching them to grow. It is amazing what appears when you start looking...I am thrilled to announce I will now be rejoining the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation (I was a garden specialist from 2008 to 2012) supporting pleasurable food education, growing and cooking seasonal food, in Early Childhood Education nationwide.

Above anything else I could say, I want to say Thank You. To the passionate and dedicated 'Sagettes' - our educators who have joined me along the way and turned The Sage Garden into more than I had ever dreamed, to Kat Macleod who designed all the looks, Leonard.st for our beautiful uniforms, my family and friends for so much support. And to everyone who has been here on the socials with me over the years.

will remain as my personal Instagram page, and I hope you can hop over there to join me as I share the highs and lows of growing organic food in a rented garden in suburban Melbourne. Together we can continue to inspire each other to grow organic food.

Natasha xx
