Maths Play

Maths Play Exploring and sharing ways to reunite maths with play. Key ingredients: agency, creativity, joy We are exploring ways to reunite mathematics with play.

We are a growing community of educators who are discovering the positive, playful and empowering nature of mathematics. We provide spaces for educators and students to be creative, draw on their own intuition, experiment, and collaborate. On this page you'll find:
✨ Curiosity and joy: Lessons and activities that spark curiosity and motivate mathematical thinking
✨ Mathematical maths: Emphasis on

patterns, logic and different ways to think about and approach problems
✨ Maths for all: Differentiation techniques that meet all learners where they're at, and extend all learners

with a bit of maths humour and more thrown in.

June 28th continues to be a special date as we continue to celebrate the positive, playful and empowering nature of mathematics, important characteristics that often get lost when "schoolified".

This year, we're marking the occasion by bringing together eight of our most popular resources to make a menu of activities.
