Spring has Sprung!! 🌺

During R U OK day yesterday the children learnt about all different emotions through hands on learning experiences, singing songs and having open ended discussions with their educators and peers.

We have welcomed spring with water play, tours of our vegetable garden, art and craft and so much more with the biggest smiles!

We hope everyone has a fantastic Friday today and an even better weekend.

We look forward to seeing what journeys evolve next week!

🦸‍♀️SUPERHERO WEEK AT SPARKWAYS! 🦸‍♂️

This week we celebrated National Superhero Week. This event has enabled us to be involved in raising awareness for muscular dystrophy.

The children participated in a variety of rich and meaningful experiences this week relating to our superhero theme. Some of these included creating our very own superheroes, themed playdough, super slime as well as practising their hero skills in our outdoor environment!

We hope that everyone has a fantastic and safe weekend. We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday for another week of fun learning adventures!

Today we celebrated all of our wonderful educators that work at Sparkways ELC Carrum Downs.

A massive thank you to everyone for all the dedication, hard work and passion you provide to our children, families and work place each & every day.

We are grateful to our entire team that contribute to making Sparkways what it is today.

We hope our wonderful families enjoyed a beautiful and memorable Father’s Day yesterday.

Our children at Sparkways Early Learning in Carrum Downs have been working diligently to create meaningful and heartfelt presents to celebrate this special occasion. These tokens of love reflect the unique bonds between your child and their fathers/ special persons. I can assure you that each piece has been crafted with care, creativity, and a whole lot of excitement.

📚~ BOOK WEEK 2023 ~📚

Making time to read aloud together with your child on a regular basis encourages their listening skills and reinforces sounds needed to form oral language.

Books can help children to feel safe and secure, encouraging them to build stronger relationships with you!

We have provided our children with endless activities and learning experiences along with being privileged enough to see super Spider-Man skills in action!

🦷 DENTAL HEALTH WEEK! 🦷

Last week we recognised dental health week as a whole service. The children took advantage of the wonderful themed play spaces provided for them!

They were able to use playdough and egg cartons to acknowledge plaque / food that gets caught in our teeth throughout each day.

They were provided with toothbrushes to scrub the teeth moulds clean, the nursery children used shaving cream to replicate toothpaste as they scrubbed a tooth poster, our pre kinders explored the benefits of healthy eating and our toddlers got creative in making their very own “happy teeth” during an art activity! 🦷🪥

PYJAMA WEEK! 🥳

This week at Carrum Downs we’re celebrating Pyjama week to raise awareness for children in foster care and to continue building our children’s knowledge of important events happening within our local community.

The countdown is on! 🥳

2 more days until our open day, we would love for everyone who is looking for childcare, kindergarten or just a fresh start to come on down and meet our beautiful team of educators and teachers.

All of the rooms will be set up as normal regarding our enriching programs along with the entertainment of “Emma wiggle” and reptile encounters. There will be a sausage sizzle and snacks to eat on the day!

We look forward to welcoming EVERYONE to the Sparkways community during this free event on Saturday the 24th of June from 11am- 1pm!
