**HELPFUL DATA FOR YEAR 12 ENGLISH STUDENTS**

VCAA have recently released the data from the 2022 VCAA English exam, meaning that we can now see what score range was required for an A+, A, etc.

Refer to the bottom row of the Table of Grade Distribution, titled 'Score Ranges', which shows exactly what you needed to get in your exam to attain a certain grade in 2022. Note that the score range is double of what is a possible score in the exam (60) as your exam is marked by at least two assessors.

The data shows us that in order to achieve an A+ in the exam, you needed to get at least 23/30 (76%). As stated, this of course changes every year!

**UPDATE**

We've received a few requests recently for adult english tutoring sessions. Whilst all of our tutors specialise in high school English, many are well-versed in grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, accidence, and the particulars of the English language.

Best of luck to all of our students and students across Victoria commencing Term 2 this week. Whilst Term 1 can feel a little breezy as you settle into the rhythm of the year, Term 2 can often be more demanding.

With each term comes a new opportunity to evaluate your goals and take the time to start consolidating your study habits, which can have a sizeable impact on your marks and for those of you in Year 12, your final results.

Remember that on average, it takes 66 days to effectively build a habit, which roughly translates into one term of habit building and genuine commitment to improve your study habits.

No positive study habits are ever established and maintained without meticulous planning and hard work. There are three steps that you can take:

1. Conduct a reflection on your strengths and areas for improvement

2. Build your transformation plan

3. Seek help.

It has been over four centuries since Jacobean playwright William Shakespeare penned his last play, likely The Two Noble Kinsmen, yet his prose, plots, characters, and themes have profound contemporary relevance.
