“R U OK?” Day is Today!
Have you noticed a friend who isn't as lively as they usually are? Unsure of how to check in on them?

Sometimes, asking "Are you okay?" can feel awkward or might make someone defensive. Here are some alternative ways to show genuine care and start a conversation:
💡 "You don’t seem like yourself lately. Is something on your mind?"
💡 "You’ve had a lot on your plate recently. How are you holding up?"
💡 "I just wanted to check in. How have you been feeling?"
💡 "I've noticed you've been a bit quiet lately. How are things going?"
💡 "Do you want to grab a coffee and catch up?"

These gentle approaches create space for someone to share, without making them feel like they need to explain or defend themselves.

Remember, it's all about showing that you care and are here to listen.

It's important to be aware of the potential pitfalls when using AI tools like Grammarly for your academic work. Recently, there have been cases where students faced accusations of plagiarism or using AI to write their papers when they were simply using Grammarly for grammar and spell-checking.

Marley Stevens' story sheds light on how AI-detection systems in universities can sometimes misidentify legitimate student work as generated by AI. This can lead to severe consequences like lower grades, academic probation, or loss of scholarships.

While tools like Grammarly can be helpful for improving your writing, it's crucial to understand their limitations and to use them responsibly. Make sure to check your university's policies regarding AI use and always cite your sources properly to avoid any misunderstandings.
