If I had 30 minutes with you before labour, I’d want to tell you SO much more than we could possibly fit in! 😂💛

So instead of trying to speed-learn everything right before birth… let’s chat about it before you’re in labour.

✨ Book a private or group childbirth education class with me and let’s get you feeling informed, prepared and confident heading into your birth.

Because you deserve more than 30 minutes of “okay, here’s what you need to know…” 💛

“I wish I was less informed…” said no one ever. 🤍

You’re never going to regret knowing more about your birth.

Knowing what to expect.
Understanding your options.
Learning how to work with your body.
Knowing your pain relief choices.
Practising positions, breathing and coping strategies.
Understanding what happens if things don’t go to plan.
And feeling confident to ask questions and advocate for yourself.

Birth education isn’t about having a perfect birth or following a strict plan.

It’s about walking into your birth feeling informed, prepared and empowered — whatever your birth looks like. ✨

You may not remember every little thing we cover in your birth class…

But you’ll never regret taking the time to prepare.

You might, however, regret wishing you’d known more. 💛

Come prepared. Come informed. Come confident.

✨ Midwife & Me childbirth education helping you feel ready for birth and beyond.

Breastfeeding is often described as “natural”—but that doesn’t always mean it comes naturally.

Many parents experience challenges along the way, whether it’s pain, latch difficulties, worries about milk supply, cluster feeding, exhaustion, or simply feeling overwhelmed.

If you do encounter hurdles, please know this:
🩷 You are not alone.
🩷 It doesn’t mean you’re failing.
🩷 It doesn’t mean your breastfeeding journey is over.

Many common breastfeeding challenges can be improved with the right support, especially when help is sought early. Sometimes a small adjustment can make a big difference.

Being aware of potential barriers isn’t about expecting the worst—it’s about knowing that if challenges arise, support is available and you don’t have to navigate them on your own.

✨ If you’re pregnant, learning about breastfeeding basics before your baby arrives can help. In classes with Midwife & Me we cover breastfeeding basics in all our classes
✨ If you’re already navigating challenges, reach out to your Midwife, Maternal and Child Health Nurse, GP, or a Lactation Consultant. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not failure.

Have you faced any breastfeeding hurdles? What helped you through them? Your story might be exactly what another parent needs to hear. 💛

✨ World Breastfeeding Week ✨

Breastfeeding has many well-established benefits for both babies and mothers—but while it’s natural, that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

In Australia, around 96% of mothers initiate breastfeeding, showing that most families begin with the intention to breastfeed. Yet many face challenges along the way that can make continuing much harder than they expected.

This week, I’ll be sharing a series on:
• Common barriers to breastfeeding
• What can make the biggest difference
• Practical tips from a midwife

Whether you breastfed for two days, two years, combination fed, or formula fed from day one, this space is for you. Every family’s feeding journey is unique, and every parent deserves support, kindness and evidence-based information.

I’d love to hear from you—what’s one thing you wish someone had told you about breastfeeding in pregnancy? 💛
