If your child is showing any of these signs then there’s no time to wait and see what will happen- falls from cots/cribs is a very common cause of serious neck, spine and head injuries (I’m sure can vouch for that).
If your child is over the age of 15 months, a toddler bed is a safe option.
If your child is under 15 months and showing these signs, then the safest option is a cot/crib mattress on its own in the middle of a completely baby-proofed room.
❌ Do NOT attempt any kinds of “hacks” to the sleep space. If the manual doesn’t say to do it, it’s not safe.

Following the TICKS guideline is a must when babywearing, both for safety and development reasons.
❗️always transfer baby to a safe sleep space such as a crib, bassinet or playard as soon as possible
⬇️
🔅TIGHT- Baby carriers and slings must be tight enough that you can hug your baby close. This ensures that your babies back is supported and that they don't slump down, causing airway and breathing issues.
🔅IN VIEW AT ALL TIMES- Your babies face should be visible at all times, you shouldn't have to open the carrier to see them.
🔅CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS- Your baby's head should be close to your chin. You should be able to tip your head forward and kiss them on the forehead.
🔅KEEP CHIN OFF CHEST- Ensure your babies chin is off their chest, this means their breathing won't be restricted.
🔅SUPPORTED BACK- Your babies back should be supported in its natural position, by ensuring they are held close to you.
