✨How often do you check in with your posture?
While having great posture can boost your self-confidence, as it projects an image of poise, strength, and self-assurance, the importance of good posture actually extends far beyond aesthetics and plays a vital role in your overall health.
💫The healthy habit we’re implementing this week in the challenge is better awareness of posture.
🦋Did you know that when it comes to your posture, there’s actually two elements you should consider;
💫1: Static Posture, which is how you hold yourself when you’re not moving, for example when you’re sleeping, driving, and working at your desk.
💫2: Dynamic Posture, which is how you hold yourself when your moving, like when you play sports, walk, and move about your home.
✔️Maintaining proper alignment and posture helps to evenly distribute weight and reduce the strain on muscles, joints, and ligaments, which means decreased risk of injury and discomfort.
✔️Good posture also contributes to a healthy spine, which is crucial for protecting the spinal cord and ensuring proper nervous system function.
✔️Correct posture even promotes efficient breathing, as it allows the lungs to expand fully, leading to improved oxygen intake and circulation.
✔️It also aids in digestion, as it provides the necessary space for internal organs to function optimally.
Wow, there’s a lot of benefits to having good posture right? 😜
