88% of groomers I surveyed stopped a groom due to behavioural concerns, 79% said difficult dogs impact their stress at work, and 79% said behavioural cases affect their schedule or productivity.
These challenges don't just impact the groomer, they impact your schedule, the salon environment and most importantly, the dogs in our care.
That's why I'm developing a dog behavioural grooming seminar to help groomers build the skills & the confidence to create safer, calmer grooming experiences.

I’m currently developing a Behavioural Dog Grooming workshop focused on helping groomers work more safely and confidently with fearful, anxious, reactive, and difficult dogs using low-stress and behaviour-focused handling approaches.
As part of the development process, I’m gathering feedback from groomers to better understand:
🐾 the behavioural challenges faced most often in salon, mobile and at-home environments
🐾 areas groomers feel least supported in
🐾 and the types of education and practical tools that would be most valuable within the industry.
I previously worked as a dog groomer for over 10 years before moving into dog behaviour and training, so I’m really hoping to create something practical, supportive, and genuinely relevant to the realities of grooming today.
