F1 racetrack and Evoke Early Learning Albert Park inspection complete!

The children watched the Roulettes fly as low as 250 feet (80 m) at speeds of up to 370 knots to 685km/h today. The pilots can experience up to 6 ‘G', or 6 times, the force of gravity during a display. Flying as close as three metres apart, the team showcases the level of visual judgement and hand-eye coordination that pilots in the Air Force are able to achieve.

Roulette pilots are Qualified Flying Instructors who work at the Central Flying School, based at RAAF Base East Sale in Victoria. Between displays, they teach other Air Force pilots to become instructors.

You were soo close Squadron Leader Mark Keritz, Flight Lieutenant Ben Ness, Trent Schurmann, Ben Hepworth, Daniel Barclay and Ben Price! So close to us, so close to each other. You are amazing pilots.

At Evoke we try to have deeper conversations with children about leadership.
First Nations leaders, leaders from our community, humanitarian leaders.
Our Educators and families can work together to teach leadership and critical thinking, empowering children to stand up for what is right, fight for the truth, learn to value teamwork, set the goal to become civically engaged, and feel empowered to become beacons of peace for a better world.

Since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, International Children's Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books. Canada is the sponsor for International Children's Book Day 2022. They chose the theme ‘Stories are wings that help you soar every day’, this is their message written by Richard Van Camp:

Reading is freedom. Reading is breath.
Reading lets you see our world in a new way and it invites you into worlds you never want to leave.
Reading allows your spirit to dream.
They say books are friends for life and I agree.
The perfect universe of you only grows when you read.
Stories are wings that help you soar every day so find the books that speak to your spirit, to your heart, to your mind.
Stories are medicine. They heal. They comfort. They inspire. They teach.
Bless the storytellers and the readers and listeners. Bless books. They are medicine for a better, brighter world.
Mahsi cho. Thank you very much.

Our senior management team were lucky enough to attend the ACA Early Learning Leaders Summit today. Kurt Fearnley, Kim Little, Paul Mondo, Heather Barnes and Lisa McInnes-Smith challenged and inspired us to continue to think about how we provide high quality care and improve outcomes for our children. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

Evoke celebrates cultural diversity by living the Harmony Week message at our service. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
Orange is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Week. Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect. Evoke uses orange in our logo and on the front of our services to show our support for cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia.

To celebrate the commencement of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten, all children received a Kinder Kit full of educational toys and books to support their early learning and development at home.

The Kits, developed in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, are designed to:
• encourage family involvement in their child’s education
• promote awareness of the benefits an engaging home learning environment.

Everything in the Kinder Kits is designed to be shared and enjoyed by families and children together, which is why we’ve produced a video to help families get the most out of their Kits and continue their child’s learning at home.

We also welcome our new educators and teachers to the early childhood workforce, and those starting their studies to become teachers or educators; you are joining the workforce at a truly landmark moment!

December 10-Human Rights Day is observed every year on December 10. It commemorates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Every year, Human Rights Day provides an opportunity for all to renew with the spirit of humanity’s long struggle for rights and dignity and to mobilise against old and new challenges, in the shape of poverty and inequality, violence, exclusion and discrimination.
Our Kinder children represented that we are all born free and equal in dignity and rights.
