It was the last week of school term. My daughter lost her retainer. We had a $450 orthodontist appointment booked and no time, money, or energy to spare.

And in the middle of all of it, God asked me to sit with Him for an hour.

I didn’t want to stop. Everything in me said keep going. But He was patient.
“Give Me an hour. It will be worth your time.”

Going LIVE — The Prophet's Mandate: Not For The Body But With The Body

There's a misunderstanding in many prophetic circles about what the prophet is actually called to do.

The prophet does not hear for the Body of Christ. They hear with the Body of Christ.

This was never God's design. At Sinai He came down to speak directly to everyone. But the people were afraid and sent Moses in their place. And Moses — the greatest prophetic intermediary in Israel's history — said his deepest wish was that all would prophesy. That all would hear.

"I wish that all the Lord's people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them." — Numbers 11:29

That wish has been granted. The Spirit has been poured out on all flesh. We are on the other side of the cross.

The Ephesians 4 mandate is clear — the prophet is commissioned to equip the saints to hear and respond for themselves until the fullness of Jesus Christ is seen in the whole Body of Christ.

Not for the Body. With the Body.

As I started stopping for the one I saw miracles flow in my life. Healings. Salvations. People encountering the love of God in profound ways.

But I still struggled with fear. The fear of man. The fear of rejection. The fear of failure.
