Welcoming set up doesn’t mean it need to be a lot of resources.
Relevant and simple resources would encourage sustainable play where they could independently access to resources when they want to and construct/reconstruct of their ideas.

Winter season just started and we were fascinated by the changes on the leaves.
We were able to identify the changes of the leaves, not just the colour, the texture and we are wondering how this changes help look after the country.
The connection to the book:how we look after the country with fire help us discover how we important for us to connect for knowledge.

A simple yet powerful visual resources to help children to understand how to engage in rough play in a safe environment.
This allow them to build understanding of safety boundaries, their strengths, and their space. This also allow them develop negotiation skills and empathy and care by taking consideration of how other feels.
It is crucial for us to facilitate a space environment with safety boundaries consideration for them to take risks.

Positive connections is crucial for children not only with adult but also with their peers.
Do you notice they tends to wave, observe and stay close to their peers!
They learn so much from each other even in parallel play:

Wondering how to recycle on the wrapping paper from Christmas season!
Try using it for fine motor skills interaction by taping it on the box and encourage them to unwrap or pull it off.

What does sense of identity look to you?
After many experiences as an early childhood professional, I found sense of identity for the little one is all about:
- knowing who they are, who are their family, about their culture and their family traditions
-develop awareness about their skills , their facial features, and their body
-develop awareness about what safe means by being confident at a environment or with someone they familiar with
-open to new challenges and new discoveries
-building awareness about the environment and the world around them
And for me, as both mum and an early childhood professional, I strongly believe is important for my little one to know about her parents’ home country, culture and traditions. And most importantly building bond with all her extended families for her to build understanding of who she is.
Not matter which country you choose to stay, we hope a little part of us help to grow and strengthen your skills.
