Campbell, Xiaoling and Angela all started in different places, but each found their way into tech. They came to Holberton from different professional backgrounds and have since built careers across the industry. Their journeys are a good reminder that there’s no single route into tech.

They all ended up in tech.

No degree. No coding background. Just 9 months and a lot of grit, apparently.

Now working at CBA, REA Group, NAB and Cullen Jewellery.

That’s the TDD mindset Michael Milewski, Senior Software Engineer at The Martec, brought to our Dojo students last Tuesday, and it did not disappoint.

This was Michael’s third session with us (round 3, let’s go 🙌) and once again our students walked away with new skills and a lot of great insights.

Safe to say they enjoyed every minute of it.

One of our favourite moments from the My Little Bookworm presentation wasn’t a feature or a demo.

It was hearing the team reflect on everything they learned while building together. Those moments of figuring things out, supporting each other, and growing as engineers are what Demo Day is really about.

AI can give you an answer in seconds.

Knowing when to question it is a different skill altogether.

Knowing how to challenge, test, and validate AI is just as important as knowing how to use it, especially when accuracy matters in every scenario, not just the happy path.

It’s easy to overlook that when all the focus is on what AI can do.
