Last night was my self care night. π
Once a month, a Breathwork journey at the sailing club with Oli Breath Balance
Iβve been 4 times now, each journey profound in its own way. Iβve been conscious breathing for 13+ years now I would say since I have been practicing yoga.
I wouldnβt say it was easy.
I have had to reprogram how to breathe properly. I had anxiety most my life which I think was just shallow breathing. βTheyβ say most people only use 1/3 of their lungs capacity to breathe.
Last night with Olis gentle yet powerful space holding and a safe and stable container I was able to drop into a 2 minute hold. It was so expansive. It was like I drifted to the bottom of the ocean, in the awe and wonder of all of lifeβs depths, challenges, heights, I could bathe in the light and clarity of it all. You get out as much as you put in so now as I do now how to cultivate strength and power with my breathe, and I feel safe enough to do it, the experiences I am having are so healing.
I am so grateful for the work of these facilitators. Itβs so important as a teacher and space holder myself to continue to do the work. Even more so as we expand ourselves to remain the student, curious, open, willing, compassionate, loving, humble.
Thank you for these days each month dear Oli. It is beautiful as we both support eachother with our practices, the healing and embodiment safety and clarity ripples out into our own children, families and communities.
Itβs so felt and I appreciate every soul who steps towards their edges, points of resistance, and growth. We all deserve freedom and ease in our being and to know how to breathe.
All my love x x x
