The POWER Collective™ is a 6-month group coaching program. A diverse group of women who show up for themselves so they can step into living and leading - without apology.

I’ll be your coach and mentor, and month by month, we will explore and live into the five POWER principles:

1. Presence
2. Ownership
3. Wisdom
4. Equality
5. Responsibility

What you will gain from the program:
✨ Full ownership of all you are and all you are not so that you can live with your full POWER in the world
✨ Consistent accountability and support to take transformative action
✨ Build a voice that honours your past, present and future
✨ Understand your values and how to integrate them into your life and leadership (if you already know your values, you will expand their potency)
✨ Clarity on what matters to you, why it matters and how to live into what matters
✨ Setting boundaries within a safe container and a time frame to understand what works and what needs refining
✨ Asking practice
✨ A committed and non-judgmental collective of women to support and elevate you
✨ And, of course, the magic……we don't know what that will be yet! But there will be magic, I promise you!

What you won't get:
🚫 Fluff
🚫 A Facebook group!

This is an application-only program because of the depths we will go and the connections you will make internally (for yourself) and externally (with others).

If this program is right for you, I strongly encourage you to apply.

Early-bird ends Oct 31

Walking alongside you as your coach and mentor in 2024 as a member of The POWER Collective™ would be an honour.

POWER to you!

There is a phrase, “Do something every day that scares you."

Why? I don’t believe in this concept at all. I do not believe that our nervous systems are meant to be in a constant state of fight or flight.

But in every day, there is an opportunity to increase our awareness and insights about ourselves.

We can gain awareness while making a beautiful meal.

We can gain insight into broken boundaries.

We can become aware of how certain people make us feel.

We can gain insight into our value and worth and work.

Recently I have become aware of two things:

1. Honesty from the people I love, especially when it's uncomfortable to speak or hear, makes me feel safe.
2. Online shopping doesn’t really work for me! I am a tactile person, and I need to touch things to know I want them.

Every day is an opportunity to get to know and honour ourselves better.

What awareness or insight have you learned about yourself recently?

Take a moment and really think about it.

Comment below. Let’s grow awareness together.

If you were to accomplish one thing before this year ends, what would it be?

If it is your experience that there are always so many things to do, it can be hard to know where to start. And it can be hard to know what to prioritise.

I asked this question to a past client.

For most of the session, we focused on an issue within her team and the leadership style she wanted to embody. She could address the situation in many ways, so we were looking at all of her options.

But then I asked her, ‘If you were to accomplish one thing before this year ends, what would it be?’

Her response had nothing to do with what we had been speaking about. She said, “To settle my mother into the best aged-care facility we can afford.” She then became very emotional because she realised that although the work situation needed to be dealt with, her mum was the most important thing in her life right now.

There are always things to be done, and different things take priority at different times in our lives. Knowing what is important right now can clarify our focus and our actions.

If you were to accomplish one thing before this year ends, what would it be?

I HAD to bring this question back! 

From POWER – A woman’s guide to living and leading without apology.

Power Principle: Wisdom – Chapter: The Power of Fun

‘It is the wise person who sprinkles fun into their life when and where they can. It is good for our mental health, our work, our relationships – our whole experience of life is enhanced when we add as much fun as possible.’

What is your current mood, plus the last thing you ate?

For me, the answer is Content Muffin.

From POWER – A woman’s guide to living and leading without apology.

Power Principle: Responsibility – Chapter: The Power Of Action

‘We can all struggle with taking action. We don’t struggle with thinking about taking action, we don’t struggle with telling others we are going to take action, we don’t struggle with telling others what action they ‘should’ take, but we can struggle with actually taking action.

Every action we take costs something – time, resources, life energy – and every action we don’t take also costs us time, resources and life energy.’

Sometimes it is hard to know what action to take and not to take.

Asking clarifying questions is a part of the role of a coach, and I always want my clients to set themselves up for success; One Shift. One action. At a time.

Starting small means, we are more likely to start.

What one action can you take today that will make you proud tomorrow?

Delight (noun): a cause or source of great pleasure

From POWER – A woman’s guide to living and leading without apology.

Power Principle: Presence – Chapter: The Power Of Delight

‘Delight is experienced in the small moments, in spontaneous interactions with others, with animals, in nature. Delight can happen at any time, but we have to be present to catch it.’

Walking to the gym in the morning, I walk unplugged to hear the sounds around me. There is one particular. street I walk down, which I now call ‘The Avenue of Birds.’

The morning chorus, at times, is deafening and delightful in its unapologetic nature.

But there is this one bird, I have never been able to catch a glimpse of it, but it is like the friend who sings the loudest but isn’t singing the same song or lyrics as anyone else.

I have been walking this street for over a year, and this one bird makes me laugh every time with its hilarious, weird call. I always wonder how the people in the house next to it cope. It is my first laugh of the day, bringing me deep delight.

What gave you delight today?

For the last few years, I have created at least three new playlists for myself a year. I love making playlists now as much as I did as a teenager, and I actually wooed my husband with a playlist!

I am proud of myself for navigating the music tech over the years, from cassettes to mini-discs to Spotify! 

Playlist one – A playlist of the year.
Playlist two – A yoga playlist
Playlist three – A gym playlist

Oh… music. The soundtrack to our lives.

On my 2023 soundtrack, my on-repeat songs are:

Enjoy – Tenko
The Best things in life are free – Sam Cooke
Who we love – Sam Smith (feat Ed Sheeran)

Tell me, what music is making you dance, cry; remember beauty?

I look forward to reading your comments. 🎧🎼🎹🎼

When I pick a book, I only have one intention: to take away one thing, one lesson, one piece of gold.

This year I have ( for the first time in my life really) stopped reading books that do not resonate with me. It is a challenging practice, and I still keep reading a few more chapters than I should. One reason is that I know how hard it is to write a book, and I want to honour the work, and another reason is that it ‘could’ get better. You never know – right?

But the books that do resonate…they change, enrich and transform me.

I recently finished The Midnight Library – Matt Haig.

I am someone (and you may be too) whose current life looks nothing like what I was told it should be or what I believed it could be. I was supposed to accept what was expected of me, which was little, and I was supposed to take any crumbs I was given and be grateful for those crumbs. So not a day, NOT. A. DAY goes by where I am not thankful for the life I am living.

This book has affirmed for me that we may as well choose the life we are living because there is no life where you are freed from being a human, living a human experience.

What we can do is honour ourselves and our lived experiences, change ourselves (if needed) and take meaningful actions inside of the life we are living instead of hoping we have a different life.

The Midnight Library has reminded me to keep being thankful. For life.

What is the last book you read that changed, enriched or transformed you?

Last week's question was – “What gives you energy?” and I invited you to think about this question for seven days. What have you been noticing?

In the last nine years of my practice of working out what gives me energy, I have also had a good look at what takes my energy.

In my experience, what gave me energy in the past no longer gives me energy, and vice versa.

Currently, in my life, what takes away my energy is:

Constant complaining and negativity – To me, there is a difference between going through a hard time and using continuous complaining and negativity to process the world.

Doing things, I don’t want to do - This is different from doing something I don’t want to do but have to do because it aligns with what I ultimately want to do.

Being out on a weeknight takes my energy from my sleep and all the things I want to do in my waking hours the next day.

The mainstream news – Because it only shows the worst of humanity, and in some cases for no reason at all.

What takes away your energy? I look forward to reading your comments below.

When I turned forty, I realised the gift of mid-life, if we are willing to surrender to it, is that we must face the fact that our time here is limited.

Of course, we all know this intellectually, but in Western culture, contemplating our death is not a popular topic of exploration; the focus tends to be how to be, look and act younger.

But the reality is that our time here is limited.

So, on my fortieth birthday, I decided to look toward the life I would want to live, the work I would want to do, and who I would want to grow into if I had exactly forty more years to live.

This shifted my focus from how much time I have left to how much ‘life-energy’ I have left and where do I want to channel my life-energy.

And one of the questions I asked myself was - What gives me energy? Because if we are going to give energy, we also need to create and absorb energy.

The things in my life that give me energy are many and varied because I have been focusing on my life energy for nine years now.

Currently, what gives me energy is:

Dancing wherever and whenever I feel moved to dance

Listening to podcasts that believe in humanity and our ability to transform our biggest challenges

Lifting heavy weights, yoga and running in nature

Gardening and farm activities

Next week, I’ll ask you the opposite question, so over the next seven days, I invite you to focus on what gives and takes away your energy - Awareness is a POWERful place to start.

But for today - What gives you energy? I look forward to reading your comments below.

What one action can you take to give yourself more life energy?

The POWER of art cannot be discounted.

Watching the lives and stories of others (real or imagined) can cement what is meaningful to us and why.

This is a challenging question for me to answer. I adore movies; the art of creating a story arc, the craft of acting; being transported to new worlds to see dreams manifested, ethical questions explored; escaping into new forms of joy are all intoxicating. You?

Here are my three for the last few years because that is the only way I could narrow it down!

The Biggest Little Farm – A real-life story of what is possible when we dream.
Black Panther – Because Wakanda FOREVER – Black culture, beauty, and POWER
Peter Rabbit – Pure joy and beauty

Which movie/s have you watched more than three times and why?
