What a wonderful week! I am looking out at a delightfully wet landscape from my favourite cosy cabin at KSP Writers Centre, where I am on a writing retreat, and making great progress on my second novel, ‘Mandoon’ (a working title). This is the second day of Reconciliation Week, a wonderful time to be writing a story which begins in pre-colonial days. I am passionate about this story, and today, words have been tumbling on the page. Inspired by a talk yesterday by Elder Elvis Yarran, thank you Elvis, for sharing your story at Guildford Library. Another source of inspiration has been following ‘Danjoo Koorliny – Walking Together’. I learned so much from the fabulous ‘Bunuru Social Impact Summit’ in March, followed by ‘Djinda Mereny’ dinner under sparkling stars in the grounds of Government House. I feel blessed to have experienced these events and associations with amazing people.
