💙 Helping isn't always doing.
Sometimes the most valuable support is giving someone the time, encouragement and opportunity to do something themselves.
Good support builds capacity, confidence, choice and control—while recognising that everyone's support needs are different.

Psychosocial Recovery
Your journey. Your goals. Your choices.

Recovery isn't one destination, and it doesn't look the same for everyone. 💙 Psychosocial recovery focuses on strengths, choice, independence and building a life that is meaningful to the individual.

What an honour to be invited and speak at the 2026 First Nations NDIS: One People, One Voice Disability Care Conference. I talked about a topic that is very relevant in my work as a Trauma Counsellor - When Neurodiversity meets Trauma: Supporting NDIS participants with ADHD, Autism, and Intergenerational Trauma. I work with an organisation supporting children and young people with complex needs, while also running a small family NDIS business. Across both roles, I’m passionate about supporting not only the individual, but also the parents, caregivers, and professionals around them.

The event showed me that there are so many organisations wanting to see a positive shift in the way we deliver supports to people with disability. I learned so much from other speakers and how their passion created opportunities to make a difference in the world. Thank you Maria and Tom as always for your warm hospitality. Thank you Trauma Assist - Wide Bay for supporting me every step of the way. And thank you to my ever loving family.
