Paint Mandjoogoordap REaD is part of a nationwide movement to promote early literacy.

It uses a whole of community approach, encouraging everyone to read, talk, sing, rhyme and draw with children from birth. Paint Mandjoogoordap REaD is proudly supported by the Department of Communities, alongside the City of Mandurah, the Mandurah Early Years Network, the Mandurah Early Years Action Group, and a host of dedicated community partners. Together, we are committed to fostering early li

teracy and preparing our children for a bright future through the power of reading, talking, singing, and playing. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who are helping us build a stronger, more connected community, where every child is ready to thrive.

Every year, thousands of people across Australia come together to read the same story at the same time — celebrating literacy, community and the joy of a good book. This is a beautiful way to inspire little readers (and big ones too!) and share in a moment of storytelling magic. ✨
