We were delighted to be invited to set up an information stall at the City of Mandurah Seniors Centre and connect with community members.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share information about the support services that Allambee provides and offer useful resources to help people stay connected and informed.
A big thank you to the Seniors Centre for creating a vibrant community space for seniors in our community.

Possessiveness or control is not a sign of a healthy relationship.
Coercive control is a pattern of behaviour by a perpetrator to cause harm and maintain control over someone. The behaviours can be subtle, manipulative, individually targeted and tailored to the victim-survivor.
Coercive control is family and domestic violence and it’s important to recognise the warning signs. If you think you might be experiencing coercive control, you should know that:
• Controlling behaviour is not OK.
• Controlling behaviour is family and domestic violence.
• It is not your fault.
• You are not alone.

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue Development
🌍 The 21st of May is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue Development. Today we celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make our global and local communities so vibrant!
Across Australia we are incredibly fortunate to live alongside so many diverse backgrounds, stories, and traditions. Our differences are our greatest strength, bringing fresh perspectives, incredible food, and deep connections.
How are you embracing diversity today? Have a meaningful conversation with someone from a different background, try a new cultural dish, or learn a new phrase!
Let's continue to build bridges through understanding and mutual respect. ❤️

The coercion hurts campaign is helping challenge common myths around controlling behaviour in relationships.
Myth: controlling behaviour is just jealousy or love
Fact: Monitoring, isolating or controlling someone is not love, it’s about power and control.
Healthy relationships are built on trust, respect and independence.

This Sunday, 17th of May, is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
On 17th of May 1990, the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases, a historic step forward for equality and inclusion.
is a chance to celebrate how far we’ve come in recognising and supporting gender and sexual diversity, while also acknowledging there is still more work to do. LGBTQIA+ people in Australia continue to experience disproportionate rates of bullying, harassment and discrimination.
Together, we can help create safer, more inclusive communities where everyone feels seen, respected and supported. 💜
