A huge thank you to the City of Mandurah from all of us at Mandurah Primary School for the amazing new play equipment on the Eastern Foreshore!

The nautical-themed playground is a beautiful tribute to Mandurah’s rich coastal history. Our kids loved the crab scoops, fishing lures, buoys, boating equipment—and even the return of the much-loved yellow boat!
The new space was not only fun, but also more accessible than ever, with a Sway Fun Glider, open-entry carousel, and multiple swing options which catered for all of our wonderful students at MPS. The fully fenced design has also made it a safer place for everyone to play and explore.

We’re so proud to see our city’s story woven into a place where our children can create memories of their own. Thank you again, City of Mandurah! 💙

Our Magpies sing to the Egg

On the final day that the egg visited Mandurah Primary School we even had our local Magpies sing to the egg. How amazing are we that even our local animals know that they can sing to the egg and it will grow with their love and attention. What a beautiful song they sang to the egg.

Today we have a great day reading with and to the Egg , the Mayor Carolyn Knight read to rooms 16,17,20, 2,3 and 4.

The students were so very respectful and came up with a lot of potential things that could hatch from it in October.

We are still reading to the egg each day and students are coming at our break time to read and be read too.
Tomorrow is the last day before we pass it on to the next location, what special things will happen tomorrow

Our students are reading to the egg each day. Giving up their precious play time to make sure the egg hears them reading each day.
They are so very excited to see the egg growing with their efforts.
This egg will be so very huge with all the wonderful stories that the students are reading.
Tomorrow, we have a very special visitor for the DELC students

Visting Book Author Emma Morgan
Wow!!!!, so much excitement this morning when Emma Morgan the author of “Noorock”, came and read to our junior students.
Emma is a wizard at writing stories and the students are already excited as they can see the egg growing and we have only read two books to it.
What is in the egg- a dinosaur, a chicken, a lizard, a turtle? The guesses were amazing and as they say, “Time will tell!”

Today the Mandjoogoodap egg came to Mandurah Primary School.

What a surprise to be the first school to get this Reading Bug Egg.
The egg was introduced to the whole school at the Monday REACHK assembly and we even had time to for Mrs Murphy to read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We know this has started the egg growing.

On Tuesday we will have the Author of " Noorock", Emma Watson come and read to some special classes.

We will also have some other special visitors this week come and read to our students too. (stay tuned)

We will find a special place for the egg tomorrow where students and parents can come and read, talk, sing and rhyme so that its special baby will hatch with a love of reading.

Remember to read tonight with your child, they can come and tell the egg what they heard or even read their reader to the egg tomorrow.
