Following the weekend's storms, green waste disposal at the Waste Management Centre will be free for the next two weeks, ending 5pm on Sunday 14th June.
The centre is open until 4pm today, and then:
Monday to Friday – 7am–4pm
Weekends – 8am–5pm.
The centre is at 80 Corsican Place, Parklands and we will grant free disposal of clean, uncontaminated green waste (garden prunings, tree loppings, lawn clippings, tree limbs/branches etc). Note that green waste cannot contain sand, soil, or timber.
Our green waste verge collections do start in central Mandurah this week, but these collections can take a few weeks to finish across the City. So you can either choose to wait for your green waste verge collection or take it directly to the waste management centre for free over the next two weeks. We hope everyone is doing okay after the wild weather we’ve had over the past few days!
Unfortunately, the wind had other plans for our Thera Street fence overnight and as many of our families know, that’s the area where Salt and Pepper call home.
A huge thank you to our wonderful neighbour Stan for the early morning phone call to let me know the fence was down. Thanks to my very rusty, but apparently still effective bunny-chasing skills, Salt and Pepper were quickly captured after a brief (and completely unauthorised) excursion down Thera Street.
The good news! The mischievous pair are safe, sound and currently under house arrest at my place while we sort out their fence situation. 🐰🐰
