High energy, big smiles, and lots of learning 🙌
Our kids had an incredible time at the seminar with Sensei Takafumi Nakayama! They explored new body movement techniques, sharpened their skills, and most importantly had fun every step of the way.
Always a great time with the energetic Sensei Yamato, and a big welcome to Senpai Benedict visiting from Germany 👊

Adult class working an active wall defence drill inspired by Bas Rutten.
Back against the wall with your partner applying light pressure to test reactions and defensive structure.
Light hands. Tight elbows. Stay relaxed. Breathe.
A simple drill that builds composure under pressure and teaches how to protect the head and body when space is limited.
Great work from everyone in the adult class last night. 🥋

Roundhouse kicks in action! 🥋
Today the Young Dragons worked on full roundhouse kicks — big pivots on the front foot and driving the kick all the way through the pad.
Lots of energy, lots of laughs, and some seriously powerful kicks! 👊

State Championships Debut 🔥
A huge moment for Alouette stepping onto the mat at the State Championships for the very first time.
It takes real courage to put yourself out there at this level, and Alouette has done exactly that by putting her hand up to be in contention for the State Team. That alone says a lot about her character and commitment.
We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination, and spirit she showed.
Keep pushing forward, keep learning, and keep growing. The entire Oakleigh Karate School dojo is behind you every step of the way.
