🎃 Halloween safety tips 👻

While we love Halloween and all the spooky fun it brings, we also want to remind everyone to stay safe while trick-or-treating! Here are some important safety tips for a fun and safe night:

1- Trick or treat in groups – stick together and never wander off alone.

2 - Keep your little monsters in sight at all times – adults should always supervise children.

3- Stay on footpaths and well-lit streets – avoid cutting across roads or through dark areas.

4 - Only visit houses with lights on – this usually means they’re participating in Halloween.

5- Have adults check all treats before eating them – be careful with unwrapped or homemade goodies.

6- Wear bright or reflective costumes – or add glow sticks or reflective tape to help you be seen.

7- Trick or treat before dark – it’s safer and easier to keep track of everyone.

8- Be mindful of traffic – always look both ways before crossing the street and use pedestrian crossings where possible.

9- Respect others’ property – stick to driveways and paths, and don’t trample gardens.

10- Remind children about stranger danger – never enter someone’s house or car, and only approach doors with a trusted adult.

11- Carry a torch or glow stick – helps light the way and makes everyone more visible.

12- If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts – safety comes first!
