“X” only began piano lessons in September last year, and in less than five months (with a two month summer holiday break in there) has not only completed and mastered his first lesson book, but has had to keep his enthusiasm and interest stimulated with pop music pieces thrown in as extras.

Now on to book two and more pop music to keep things exciting. Well done. 👏

Well that’s a wrap for 2025. 🎁 What started out as a return to something I hadn’t done in a while, turned out to be a huge reminder of how much of a difference I can make, not just during a lesson, but in everyday life. I’m looking forward to spending lots of quality time with friends and family over the coming weeks before resuming tuition towards the end of January. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. 💫

Not to be outdone by her brother, “C” completed her Piano Adventures Lesson and Theory book this week. Both children are doing so well with grasping this new skill and will certainly continue to grow with their dedication and consistent practise. 🎹

“N” completed his Lesson-Theory-Solo All-In-One Course Book this week and is now ready to move up to Book Two. We will also be starting to learn one or two Christmas pieces as that time of year is fast approaching. 🎄🔔 🎶

When I walked into the waiting area and greeted “V” before his lesson yesterday, I couldn’t even get him to make eye contact or seem just a little bit interested in having his lesson. Even making small talk to try and liven him up on the way to the piano room was without success. We started the lesson by reluctantly playing the last learned piece but no more interest after that. We moved into doing some theory, which he always loves doing, asking to do more than was required. The mood slowly become lighter and the rest of the lesson flowed so easily, playing favourite pieces, some as duets with me, then ending the lesson by learning the very last piece in his first, all-in-one piano course, completed in just under five months of weekly lessons. The walk back to the waiting area was more of a skip, hardly being able to contain himself before he boasted to Mum about his efforts and displaying his completed certificate. I absolutely love these moments. A complete turnaround in one half hour lesson. “V”, you are indeed a superstar. Keep shining bright. 🌟

As Term 3 comes to an end, the Studio will now be closed for two weeks with Term 4 commencing on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. It has been a big ten weeks with all of my students making huge progress and achieving many personal highs. The joy they bring to me is so fulfilling. I love seeing each and every one of their faces light up with excitement and pride when learning a new piece and progressing on to playing it fluently, making those keys sing in delight. I’m looking forward to another Term filled with just as many milestones. 🙌 🎹 🎶

This brought tears to my eyes. To hear that I can make a difference in people and how they are feeling. I am so blessed to be given the opportunity to do what I love and in turn make others feel good about themselves. Thank you for sharing.
