The only thing I would add is a caveat to the notion of 'struggle.'
There is an ongoing process, a tempering and test of character, where the hero's radiance is formed.
It is not easy going usually, yet it is vital that we are ALIGNED in our state, mission, values, decisions, habits and actions. Then there is a glow in our hearts that never goes out and the way is smoother and more effective.
I'm so glad I came across this video.. 48 million people beat me to it, apparently!

I once told a dear friend of the Twelve Riches of Life that were given in a Napoleon Hill book. Something that he had researched for decades.
My friend said that I had missed one out. In retrospect it may be the most important: a sense of humour.
He was not talking about watching comedy but whether we can laugh at the world and especially ourselves. As I meditate on this, I can see how it would fundamentally change my relationship to many problems in life.

Do this right now. Close your eyes and sincerely ask your adversity what it wants you to know.
Discover that seed, plant it, water it and give it the best chance to grow.

I must write with integrity, so that is why I have now formally taken on a coach myself.
Through her patient and gentle craft, she has helped me give MYSELF permission to help you and that, dear readers, is a mighty feat.
Those of you who have known me over the years will have seen my struggle and anguish because I always tried to do everything myself.
We all have our unique ruts - a coach helps us free ourselves.
Even the Wise need friends and allies. To think we can accomplish our missions alone, by sheer force of personal will is folly. To believe so is a trick of our minds, our ego.
A great mission is rarely walked in a straightforward way. It is made up of quests, some that seem at first to go in the opposite direction, to hinder our progress. Yet, in time we come to know that these were all preparation, polishing us for the accomplishment of our true task.
