📖✨ When Stories Come to Life ✨📖

Yesterday we celebrated Book Week with our whole school production! Our students have been working hard in the lead-up, and it was lovely to see everyone come together to celebrate books, stories and reading.

Thank you to everyone in our school community who volunteered their time to help make the day possible, and a special thank you to Tommy for his dedication to the production and all his hard work behind the scenes!

Happy Principal’s Day! 💙

Today we celebrate Daniel, Georgia and Diana, and thank them for their dedication to our students, staff and school community.

Although Diana is currently on leave, we couldn’t let today pass without recognising and thanking her for the incredible contribution she has made to LPPS. We also want to acknowledge Georgia for the wonderful job she has done stepping into the Assistant Principal role.

Earlier this week, our junior school students celebrated 100 Days of School! 🥳

Reaching 100 days of learning is such a special milestone, and we are so proud of everything our students have achieved so far this year. They have learnt, grown, and gained so much confidence already, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store! 💙

Our 2-4 students are getting ready to dive into Charlotte’s Web! 🕸️📖

To launch the unit, our students created their own woven spider webs in a hands-on activity, supporting fine motor skills, encouraging mindfulness and sparking plenty of excitement for the learning ahead. We are so excited to see where this wonderful novel takes their learning! 🕷️

Last Thursday our students had an amazing time at our House Athletics Carnival! 🏅

From sprints and relays to field events, it was fantastic to see everyone trying their best, cheering on their peers and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day.

What if the next big idea started in primary school?

This week, our Year 6 students continued their Future Founders journey, discovering that every great innovation begins with noticing a problem.

From Airbnb solving the challenge of paying rent, to Netflix rethinking late fees, students explored how some of the world's biggest ideas started with a simple frustration. They then turned their attention to problems they see every day.

💡 How could we make it easier to return library books?
💡 How could we help families reduce electricity use?
💡 What real problems can technology help solve?

More importantly, students learned that innovation isn't about having the "perfect" idea. It's about asking questions, listening to others, testing your thinking and having the courage to share your ideas.

Next week, they'll begin designing and building their own solutions—and we can't wait to see where their creativity takes them.

MOONLIT SANCTUARY EXCURSION 🚌

Today, our Prep–3 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Moonlit Sanctuary! 🦘🐨

Students explored the sanctuary, learnt about Australian wildlife, and had the opportunity to get up close to some amazing animals. We loved seeing their excitement as they discovered and connected with the natural world.
