Children First Lindisfarne is a long daycare centre in Lindisfarne, offering quality early education and childcare to babies from 6 weeks old to Kindergarten children.

2026 enrolments now open! Child’s Play Early Learning is a newly established family owned Tasmanian business providing the highest quality of care for children aged 6 weeks – 5 years old, and before and after school care for ages

6 – 12. Our learning environment has been inspired by nature with soft colours, natural wooden playgrounds and veggie patches for children to have fun with while learning. We are proud to be accredited as a ‘Sun Smart’ centre by the Cancer Council. As a convenience to parents, our service includes:

- All meals prepared fresh daily with local produce by our in house cook
- All hats and nappies provided
- Our shuttle bus collects and drops of kids to surrounding schools as part of our before and after school care service
- Vacation Care for school aged children with excursions and meals provided

Our centre will be closed today, Thursday the 25th of December and tomorrow, Friday the 26th of December for the Christmas and Boxing Day Public Holidays.

Our team Christmas brunch, where we exchanged Secret Santa gifts, enjoyed delicious food, showcased our best Christmas outfits, and participated in fun activities, was a wonderful experience for everyone.

Today we continued our 3A game “Searching for Sound” exploration with a very exciting science experiment! We placed a speaker inside a bowl, stretched cling wrap tightly over the top, and sprinkled different materials, sugar, salt, coloured rice, and glitter stars onto the surface. Once the music started playing, something magical happened… the tiny pieces began to jump, shake, and dance to the beat of “I Like to Move It Move It” and “I Am a Gummy Bear.”

Today, we had an incredible experience watching our playground transform into a white blanket that resembled snow. Hail fell three times over the centre, bringing immense excitement to the children.

We even brought in some snowy pieces for the children to play with indoors, further enhancing the fun!
