🌱💥 Our Primary students got hands-on for Science Week by creating their very own seed bombs! 🌳👩‍🔬

They explored how seeds grow and what plants need to thrive before getting their hands dirty making seed bombs to take home and grow. 🧑‍🌾✨

It’s a fun way to combine science, sustainability, and a little bit of mess! 🌍😄

🌏🎶 Over the past two days, Lindfield College had the wonderful opportunity to welcome students and teachers from Chongming Junior High School in Taiwan!

Our visitors immersed themselves in Australian education and culture through integrated classes, and their Chinese Orchestra members gave a captivating joint performance with our Stage 5 Music students in the Lyric Theatre — some of our primary students in the audience were mesmerised by the traditional Chinese melodies! 🎻🎵

Our Stage 4 Mandarin students enjoyed acting as buddies, practising their language skills in genuine conversations and gaining firsthand insight into Taiwanese culture. This amazing experience not only boosted their confidence but also enriched their understanding of cultural diversity — right in line with the NSW Modern Languages syllabus. 🗣️🇹🇼

Meanwhile, our Stage 5 students who don’t study Chinese benefited too, broadening their intercultural skills and global awareness by connecting across cultures and languages.

A huge thank you to Languages teacher Annie Zhang for organising this special visit, and to all the students and staff from Chongming Junior High School — safe travels home, and we hope to see you again soon! 🙏✨

🏆 Winter Warriors: Champions Again! 🏆

For the second year running, our unstoppable girls’ team has taken home the crown at the epic Winter Warrior race at Lake Keepit! 💪✨

With over 25 challenging obstacles—from mud pits and mountain biking to archery, log carries, slip ‘n slides, and canoeing—our Winter Warriors showed incredible strength, teamwork, and determination to cross the finish line FIRST once more.

🖊️ Jacqueline Harvey – beloved creator of Alice-Miranda, Kensy & Max, Clementine Rose, and The Girl and the Ghost – is visiting our Years 3-6! She LOVES inspiring young readers, and we can't wait to hear her stories! 👧📖

🖊️ Erin Gough – author of The Flywheel, Amelia Westlake & Into The Mouth of the Wolf – will be chatting with Years 7-10 about diverse stories and the power of YOUR voice! 🌟💬

Milly S and Harvey B (Year 11) headed to Macquarie University on the weekend and attended the Leaders and Achievers lecture. 🚀. They learned all about the skills you need beyond your ATAR and how to use them in the real world.

🌟✨ Huge shoutout to our amazing HSC Dance student, Tamar S! ✨🌟

Today, Tamar presented her incredible Major Work for marking – a powerful solo choreographed piece called "Five Rooms" 🕺💔, exploring the stages of grief, performed by Year 8 star Olivia C. What a moving performance! 🙌❤️

But that’s not all! Tamar also wowed us with two solo pieces, "Come Together" 🤝 and "Slipping Into Chaos" 🌪️, both choreographed by her talented TAFE Bradfield teacher, Angelique Mavromatis. 🎭👏

A massive thank you to our dedicated Dance teacher, Jessica Rigby, for her invaluable feedback and support preparing Tamar for today’s marking! 💃🎉

We’re so proud of Tamar for pursuing Dance via TAFE while at Lindfield and for blazing a trail for future HSC Dance students! From 2027, our school will proudly offer HSC Dance on-site, with access to our outstanding theatres and dance studios! 🎶🏫🎤
