We are just about to reach a milestone of 20,000 followers!

When this page first started, it was just a small space to share our passion for prospecting, the dirt, and the adventure of chasing gold out in the bush while sharing our hard earned knowledge along the way on how we've successfully managed to survive as full time professional gold prospectors.

And to freely pass on this valuable knowledge that we couldn't find ANYWHERE out there no matter where we looked to others in a very cut throat and secretive profession has been our main aim

We are not fancy, we don't do endless giveaways or spam every group around to grab faceless followers and our growth has been quite slow comparatively but that's ok.. because EVERYONE who is here is here because they love gold prospecting and really want to be here to engage and learn the jigsaws puzzle that is GOLD.

We are very proud of this achievement
and of how we find gold.

To watch this community grow into twenty thousand like-minded legends is truly mind-blowing.

GOLD ZONES.
Finding gold in the massive Western Australian Goldfields is a challenge. The vast distances alone can make it daunting where to start.?
One very useful observation to make as a prospector is
Gold in WA lies over entire zones. Don't believe me turn on gold deposits and zoom out!!

Once you understand this principle this can help you to map an area or make a plan of attack a little easier by narrowing your search area substantially...

Whilst obviously the picture from Detector Maps shown below is the whole of the lower half of WA(ie the REALLY BIG picture) and things may twist and turn a little in different regions you will often find when you zoom into and break down the small area that you're actually working on the ground that, Gold still lies in ZONES, follows certain TRENDS of DIRECTION and LINES of STRIKE.
We go into this in great detail in our training camps but in simple terms , if you can work out the zone and the direction and or line of strike of a gold flow so you are only now searching in 2 directions not all 4 directions you're no longer guessing you're now prospecting with a purpose.

It's been an AMAZING YEAR we feel so lucky that so many great people have come to our camps and learnt a lifetime's worth of knowledge , made great friendships had an amazing time and found gold.
