For National Volunteer Week (18 - 24 May) we're acknowledging all our committed volunteers who provide meaningful support to socially isolated seniors. As part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), these visits bring valuable social connection and joy to those involved.

We work with both volunteers and participants to ensure they are supported and have the opportunity to build meaningful and lasting professional friendships.

This week, Eliana, one of our Italian Language Assistants, travelled to Lismore to support the Italian program at Trinity Catholic College Lismore 🇮🇹

She was warmly welcomed by both teachers and students, taking part in engaging classes and workshops that celebrated Italian language and culture.

This visit reflects Co.As.It.’s ongoing commitment to supporting schools and strengthening Italian language education across New South Wales.

The Consulate General of Italy in Sydney, with Co.As.It., The Opera Foundation for young Australians, and the Italian Institute of Culture Sydney, present a performance from cellist Massimo Bertucci, direct from Italy, to celebrate Festa della Repubblica.

Accompanied by pianist Bradley Gilchrist and sopranos Catherine Bouchier and Sophie Mohler from the Sydney Opera Foundation for young Australians, this evening will traverse the operatic legacies of Gaetano Braga and Niccolò Paganini.
