Next week is Book Week. Our Book Week Dress-Up day and parade will be held on Thursday 27th at 10.20am on the bottom courts. Parents are invited to join us on the top court or bottom playground. 💛💙💛💙

On Thursday 27 August, students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character and join in the fun as we celebrate Book Week!

We can't wait to see all the wonderful costumes, creativity and imagination on display as we celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling.

As part of National Science Week, the Grade 1-2 students were visited by four Young Tassie Scientists from the University of Tasmania.

Students were engaged as they listened to the scientists, including a marine biologist, psychologist, conservation biologist and psychist. We were researchers in investigating how marine biologist's find out the age of fish, as well as learning how conservation biologists help to track lions in South Africa using microchips.

With the help of weights and marbles, we also communicated our thinking around how the Artmeis spaceship was able to fly around the moon due to gravitational pull and contributed to research undertaken by our psychologist about video games and emotions.

A sincere thank you to the Young Tassie Scientists crew, and we look forward to welcoming them back to Trevallyn in the future! ⚛
