So, when a child comes for tutoring in reading, there are other skills which require attention...this is because it's not just about the reading...
You see every learner has their own unique style of learning it's about how they internalise and coordinate the incoming information....
Some children need some repitition....others need to write things down, others might need to glue and paste ....
others might need to be physically engaged in it... some need to create a rhyme or music to it...
some might need to draw it....it just depends on the learner...
These are some of the strategies that I utilise to help the child during the tutoring process..
I like to create very clear structure for the child so that no matter what SUCCESS is the outcome...
The most common problem I find at the moment is focus...or concentration...
Some children struggle with that...
a few little lessons in time keeping for example
from 3 minutes to 5 minutes and build from there....
Look to see what keeps your child focussed .....
I truly feel that screen time on technology be minimised ....as extended long periods of time and that blue light does have side effects to learning....wishing you a great day...
