We’ve been busy refreshing our backyard play space today, ready for next week! 🌿

If anyone has any metal or plastic kitchen utensils, Tonka trucks (or similar), PVC pipes (any size), measuring jugs/cups, wind chimes, or anything fairy-garden related that you no longer want or were planning to take to the tip, please send me a message.

We’d love to reuse them in our outdoor play space and save them from going to waste!

🌧️ Rainy Days = Splashing Fun

This morning we embraced the rain! As soon as we spotted a short window between the heavy downpours, we bolted outside for some puddle splashing and water play. The excitement was instant, jumping, water splashing and lots of giggles all around.

After our wet and wonderful adventure, we headed back inside to change into some warm, dry clothes to ensure we stay healthy and can enjoy this incredibly fun part of nature without becoming too cold 💙

🌿🐣 Easter is Coming ! 🐣🌿

Easter is just around the corner and we are so egg-cited! Over the next few weeks, our children will be diving into all things Easter , creative crafts, sensory play, and nature-based explorations inspired by the season.

We’ll be focusing on themes of new life, growth, kindness and togetherness, which will then link beautifully with our Harmony Week celebrations as we explore inclusion, belonging and celebrating the many cultures and traditions that make our community so special. Embracing the magic of the season in our own calm, playful way, we’ll be creating meaningful learning experiences that nurture connection and understanding.dr

• Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday
• Accepting 2026/2027 waitlist enquiries. Please note, we are currently at capacity however expect movement, hence building our waitlist, particularly 2027 but potentially sooner.
• Casual enrolments now being accepted
• There may also be some earlier placements becoming available later this year

The Sweetest little florist 🌸

After receiving some beautiful dried florals, little P was inspired by her mum (a wedding florist) to take nature play and floristry to a whole new level. With the biggest smile and the gentlest hands, she created something truly special, proof that creativity blooms at any age.

Filipino Christmas Parol 🇵🇭🎄

One of our little friends and his family brought in some Christmas craft for us to enjoy today!
After using markers to make our new ornaments shine, we popped them on our tree for everyone to see ❤️

A little about the Filipino Christmas Parol:

• Seasonal decoration: Parols are a quintessential Christmas decoration in the Philippines, hung from windows and doorways.

• Cultural significance: The practice of making and displaying parols is a cherished part of Filipino culture and a great family activity.

Symbolism and meaning

• Star of Bethlehem: The five-pointed star shape represents the star that guided the Three Kings to the manger.

• Hope and goodwill: The lantern is a symbol of hope and goodwill during the Christmas season.

• Filipino pride: Hanging a parol outside a home indicates that a Filipino family lives there.

• Connection to home: For Filipinos living abroad, a parol serves as a reminder of home and family

♻️ November is Recycling Month at Sweet Wildlings & Sweet Little Wildlings! ♻️

As we head into November, we're excited to once again focus on something we are passionate about - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. 🌿

Throughout the month, we’ll be helping the children explore how everyday items can be reused and repurposed, all while learning how to care for our Earth.

To support this, we're reaching out to our beautiful community to see if you have any pre-loved items at home that could be donated and given a second life in our play spaces.

Here’s what we’re on the lookout for:
🧺 A laundry-style sink for outdoor water play
🚧 Tonka trucks or diggers for the sandpit
🛑 A baby gate
🥄 Wooden spoons, scoops, and utensils
🥣 Wooden bowls and accessories
🍳 Kitchen items – pots, pans, whisks, sifters
🥛 Jugs or pouring tools
🌱 Terracotta pots (small to medium size)
🧁 Cake or cupcake tins
🍽️ Plates, bowls, cups for dramatic play
🪵 Any wooden toys ready for a second adventure

Please don’t buy anything new!
This is a chance for the children to learn about donating, reusing, and reducing waste – helping items avoid landfill while discovering the joy of giving and creating something new from something old.
