We will be holding a fundraising night at Kurri Kurri McDonalds on Tuesday the 30th of June.
Between the hours of 6pm-7pm, McDonalds will generously be donating 10% of sales (app orders excluded) to the Preschool.

$3.6 billion childcare pay deal staves off pay cuts, fee hikes and a strike Funding for the two-year deal to give early educators a 15 per cent pay rise, announced ahead of the 2025 election, was set to expire in December.

In October last year we rallied together for fair funding to increase wages in community preschools.
In February, the Fair Work Commission handed down their recommendations, including that the NSW government should urgently fund pay increases in community preschools.
Increases to the Children's Services award of 15% were also announced - but with no additional funding for preschools.
On 6th May we rallied again.
On 20th May the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry found that the NSW government ARE responsible for funding wages and conditions for community preschools and should fund these.
And all this time... not a word from the NSW Labor government.
Our preschools are floundering. Staff are burning out. We cannot continue to do more with less.
It's clear to everyone that if we want children to , the government must
On 23rd June, Daniel Mookhey and the Minns government will announce the 2026 -2027 budget.
Will they support our high-quality community preschools and acknowledge the people who keep them running?
Or will they continue to ignore us?

IT'S PIE DRIVE TIME...
As the weather turns cold, it's a perfect time to support the preschool and buy some delicious, warm pies coming into winter! If you wish to order anything, please send us a message and we can send through an order form. Order forms are due back to preschool on Wednesday 3rd June and can be collected on Wednesday 17th June, with a time to be advised. So share around with family, and community members for a great fundraiser for our preschool.

Need a little help in choosing a special gift for Mother’s Day? We have been very lucky to have one of our previous families setting up a little Mother’s Day stall throughout the week. Laura will be at the preschool gates on Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th (both in the mornings and afternoons). She has a range of gifts (cash or card) so make sure to have a look when you are dropping your child off at preschool. She has some beautiful gifts for that special person.
