Movement isn't a break from learning. For some kids, it is the learning.
When we write a plan for an ADHD child, we don't build in "movement breaks." We build the movement into the work itself.
Spelling on a trampoline.
Maths on a dog walk.
Reading on the floor because the desk was the problem.
None of this is a gimmick. It's just what the day looks like when the plan is written for how this child actually learns.

He's not behind. He's been told to sit still since he was five.
An ADHD kid being asked to sit at a desk for six hours a day isn't being taught. He's being managed.
Movement, choice, novelty. These aren't accommodations for ADHD learners. They're how this child actually learns.
When we write a plan for an ADHD child, we build the learning around how the child works. Not the other way around.

We didn't set out to build a business. We set out to write one good plan.
One that knew our son had 15 minutes of concentration before he needed to move.
That ancient Rome was a way in.
That maths came easy, and writing was hard work.
New people made him quiet until something properly grabbed him.
We couldn't find that plan anywhere. So we wrote it.
Blake's was the first. Every plan since gets the same treatment, one kid at a time, with the kind of questions you don't get asked on an enrolment form.

Four years ago, Simon and I were travelling Australia with our kids.
Blake was struggling at school, labelled fidgety and distracted, dismissed as a "quiet C" student.
We saw a different kid at home. Bright. Curious. Capable.

We couldn't find a home education program that worked the way his brain worked. So we wrote our own.

That program worked. Blake is back in mainstream high school, earning A's, winning academic awards.

Apply-ED exists because no one had built that program for our son. Now we build them for families across Australia.

This is Blake.
School said he was fine. A bit fidgety. Sometimes distracted. But well behaved.
So he slid under the radar.
It wasn't until we travelled Australia together that we saw what school had missed. The dyslexia. The patterns we now recognise as ADHD.
We built a home education program around how his brain actually worked.
He's now back in mainstream high school. Earning A's in English. He won an academic excellence award.
Apply-ED exists because of him.
If your child has slid under the radar, you might be the only person who's noticed. That's enough to act on.
