The recent snowfall in the Aussie Main Range has made itself known!

Nearly a size 2 glide avalanche above Lake Albina ran 100m with a 1m crown and around 25m wide.

🚨 Missing Skier - Call for Information 🚨

UPDATE: NSW Police have advised missing backcountry skier, Cameron Little, has been located safely.

Police are seeking help from anyone who may have travelled from Guthega to Mt Jagungal between 4–13 September.

We’re looking for any details on snow or weather conditions, or personal observations during that time, especially after 6 September.

If you were in the area or know someone who was, any information could be valuable. Please reach out and share what you know. 🙏

🏔️ MSC Avalanche Rescue Comp

On Sunday, 10 teams of three put their rescue skills to the test across three disciplines:
🔹 2-victim beacon & probe search at the ATC
🔹 Sensory probing
🔹 Speed shovelling

After a full day of digging, probing, and beeping:
🥇 Team Torquay Tornadoes took the overall win
🥈 Team Supreme came in second
🥉 Jack’s Angels rounded out the podium

👏 Special mention to Team Supreme, who learned the basics only the day before and still located their first “victim” in just 1 minute 12 seconds!

Huge thanks to ABCF volunteers Anthony, Luka, and Alex for keeping things running smoothly, and to everyone who came out in testing weather to make this such a great community day.
