Today our students had a wonderful time rounding off our HASS unit on Australian History with an excursion to the Loxton Historical Village!

The day was packed with hands-on experiences, including:
📚Old-fashioned schooling in a heritage classroom
📿Rope making techniques from days gone by
🥖Traditional damper and batter making
🔌Exploring a pre-electricity hut to see how people once lit their homes and washed their clothes

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to step back in time, bringing their learning to life and deepening their understanding of Australia’s past. Thank you, Mrs. Hall, for organizing!

Another big thank you to the Loxton Historical Village staff for hosting us and sharing their knowledge!

We stopped at the Pioneer Playground for our lunch and a big play with our school friend! It was such a fantastic day 🌟

Our ELA students teed off for our first golf lesson on Wednesday week 4 and were joined in week 5 by everyone else - except the choir who’ll get their chance this week! A big thank you to Jamie from the Barmera golf club who taught them so well. The students all had a great time and a couple looked like they'd be quite comfortable on a driving range as well as the greens!

🎉 Our Book Week Parade was a fantastic celebration at Kingston on Murray Primary School this morning! 📚

We were delighted to have our Playcentre friends, and our families join us, showing what it means to Thrive Together. The creativity, enthusiasm, and support from everyone reflected our value to Aim High in all we do.

A special thank you to SSO Janelle for coordinating, setting up and preparing a delicious morning tea, and to all who attended for sharing kindness and making the event truly memorable.

🎶✨ What a night to remember! Last night, our talented students took part in the Riverland Primary Schools Choirs 30th Anniversary celebration at the Chaffey Theatre, a milestone event filled with music, unity, and recognition.

A huge congratulations to April, who captivated the audience with her solo performance in “Sing.” The courage and passion she demonstrated on stage truly made us all proud!

We’d also like to give a special mention to Will, Addi, and especially Max, who all worked through their nerves and performed beautifully. Your perseverance and teamwork were an inspiration to everyone in the audience.

It was a privilege to see our long-standing former staff member Jo Bevan receive an Outstanding Contribution Award for her unwavering commitment, alongside Cindy Ridley, Mary and Alan Geddie, and Italo Vardaro. Their decades of support have shaped the musical journeys of Kingston on Murray PS students for generations.

Thank you to the Riverland Primary Schools Music Festival for a truly memorable evening, and congratulations again to our wonderful students and dedicated supporters! 🎵🌟
