The opening of our Annual Art Exhibition at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery last night was a wonderful success and a fantastic celebration of the incredible talent and creativity of our students.

From paintings and drawings to a variety of unique and imaginative pieces, there is so much to see and appreciate.

A huge thank you to Councillor Danita Potter for joining us and officially opening the exhibition. We also want to congratulate our talented Art students and thank our amazing Art staff for bringing this exhibition together.

📏 HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN YOU FIT IN A CUBIC METRE? 🤔

Today’s Year 8 Maths lesson got a little… crowded!

Our students were learning about volume conversions, comparing a cubic centimetre with a cubic metre.

Naturally, the next logical step was to see just how many students we could squeeze into 1m³… and apparently the answer is “quite a few”! 🤡🚗

OUR YARNING CIRCLE IS ABOUT TO GET A SERIOUS UPGRADE!

A beautiful mural along the back of G Block has been in the works for some time, and we’re excited to share that the final design is now complete!

Our Year 12 Art students have started the very clever process of mapping out the design ready for painting - and it’s pretty cool to see how they transfer the artwork onto such a HUGE wall! 📐🎨

Painting will begin very soon, with the first stage set to be completed in Term 4. We absolutely cannot wait to see it come to life!

We appreciate our teacher aides every day, but today we are appreciating them with cake!! This week, we’re celebrating our amazing team of teacher aides and the many ways they support our students and our school every single day!

From supporting students in classrooms and helping them reach their goals, to keeping our library organised, supporting the Senior School team, taking care of admin tasks, working in the Student Engagement Centre and so, so much more - our teacher aides are an integral part of the KSHS team.

A lot of what they do happens quietly behind the scenes, but their impact is HUGE.

To our wonderful teacher aides - thank you for your patience, care, dedication, flexibility and for always being there for our students and staff.

We truly have the most amazing team, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do!

Yesterday, our Senior Art students spent the day transforming the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery as they set up our annual exhibition - and we don’t want to give too much away, but WOW! 🤩

There are some absolutely incredible pieces on display, showcasing the creativity, skill and hard work of our talented students.

But don’t just take our word for it… come down and see for yourself!
