Finish Strong Friday was in full swing today!

Students enjoyed music and dancing in Keith Middleton Court, showed off their skills with a footy kick, and had plenty of fun with lawn games.

A great way to finish the week, catch up with friends, get active (stay warm!), and head into the weekend with smiles all around! πŸ˜„

πŸ₯Ά The Primary Winter Carnival is certainly living up to its name today, with a "feels like" temperature of just 9Β°C!

Despite the chilly conditions, 51 of our students are out across venues around Kingaroy today officiating soccer, touch football, netball and newcombe games for local primary school students.

Giving up their time to support younger students, share their knowledge and help the day run smoothly is no small feat - especially when it's this cold! We are incredibly proud of these students for stepping up and volunteering to make the carnival a great experience for everyone involved.

What a bunch of absolute legends! πŸ‘β„οΈπŸβš½πŸ‰

Today, 12 of our students are completing their Construction White Card training as part of their Certificate II in Construction Pathways.

A big thank you to Garrick from Blue Dog Training - RTO 31193 for delivering the course and helping our students gain this important industry requirement. The White Card is a key step towards working safely in the construction industry and provides valuable knowledge that students can take with them into future employment and work experience opportunities.

It's great to see our students building practical skills and industry qualifications while still at school. Well done to everyone involved!

We didn't think we'd be cracking out an early offer post quite this soon, but Olivia has gone and done something extraordinary!

Olivia has been offered a full-time place at Brent Street Academy in Sydney for 2027, where she will study a Diploma of Musical Theatre with specialist training in dance, singing and acting under industry professionals.

After a lengthy audition and interview process, Olivia was selected as one of only 35 students offered a place in the Musical Theatre course. Auditions were held across Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, making this an outstanding achievement.

Olivia has been a familiar face on our stage throughout her time at KSHS, sharing her talent, passion and dedication with audiences at countless performances. To earn a place at one of Australia's leading performing arts institutions is a testament to the hard work she has put into developing her craft.

We are incredibly proud of Olivia and can't wait to see where this exciting opportunity takes her. Congratulations, Olivia – Sydney is getting a star! ⭐🎭

A huge congratulations to Year 12 student Matti, who has been selected to attend the Queensland State Budget Student Experience 2026 - a prestigious program for just 48 students across the state!

Matti will head to Parliament House in Brisbane to gain real-world insights into government decision-making, economics, and the State Budget, including meeting key leaders and seeing the budget delivered live.

This incredible achievement reflects Matti’s leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to community service, including volunteering across major local events and leading the school as Media Committee Chairperson.

This opportunity showcases the value of Humanities subjects - helping students understand the world, engage in civic life, and make a difference in their communities.
We are so proud of you, Matti!

Congratulations to Chloe and Will, who have been representing Wide Bay at the Queensland Representative School Sport 10–12 Years Netball State Championships from 29 May to 1 June.

Competing against the best young netballers from across Queensland is an outstanding achievement in itself, and both students should be incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work that earned them selection in the Wide Bay team.

We are especially excited to share that Will has been selected in the Queensland team! This is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to Will's talent, commitment and performance throughout the championships.

Well done, Chloe and Will, on representing your school and region with pride.
