💚💙 Happy Father’s Day! 🍩

What a wonderful way to celebrate the special men in our Kincumber Public School community! 🖤🤍

On Friday morning, our amazing P&C hosted “Donuts for DUGs” — celebrating our Dads, Uncles, Grandads and special guys who play such an important role in the lives of our students. 👨‍👧‍👦👴💙

Our students loved sharing a donut, a smile and some special time with their DUGs before heading off to class. 🍩😊

A huge thank you to our incredible P&C for organising such a wonderful morning and to all of our families who came along and helped make it so special. 💚

Something Special Performance ⭐️

Continuing our Book Week celebrations, students enjoyed a very special Children’s Book Week® 2026 performance! 📚🎶

Presented by Perform Education in partnership with The Children’s Book Council of Australia, this interactive musical adventure brought this year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, to life through music, drama and storytelling. A wonderful way to celebrate the magic of books and inspire a love of reading! ✨📖

BOOK WEEK PARADE 2026 📚✨💚

What an incredible Book Parade we had last Friday! 📚✨ Celebrating the theme, “A Symphony of Stories,” our students and staff embraced the spirit of the day with such wonderful costumes, creativity and a love of reading. 🎶📖

It was fantastic to see our school community come together to celebrate the magic of books and the joy, imagination and stories they bring to life. 💚

Our Scholastic Book Fair has also been a huge success! 📚✨ It has been wonderful to see students and families enjoying the wonderful selection of books, creating wish lists and getting involved in our fun competitions.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Book Fair. Every purchase helps us continue to grow our school library for all students to enjoy! ❤️📖

Spotlight on… 3B! ⭐
📕✏️In English, we have been continuing to explore the novel Wonder. Our focus last week was on writing letters from Via’s point of view, encouraging students to think carefully about character perspectives and emotions. 3B has also been working hard to build reading fluency through our daily vocabulary and fluency sessions.

✖️🧮➗In Mathematics, students have been completing a Daily Number Review to consolidate their understanding of the four operations. During our core lessons, we have focused on developing strategies for accurately solving multiplication and division word problems, including identifying the important information and selecting the correct operation.

🪙👜During MAPPEN, we have been investigating the role advertising plays in persuading people to buy products. Students analysed both digital and print advertisements using a matrix to identify the techniques advertisers use to capture our attention. A definite highlight has been designing our own digital advertisements for imaginative products, based on a design brief.

Well done, 3B, on another fantastic week of learning, creativity and collaboration!
