Most people pick one and wonder why they’re not seeing results.

🏃‍♀️ Just cardio - you’re burning calories but not building the muscle that keeps your metabolism running efficiently long term. The weight comes back the moment you stop.
💪 Just weights - you’re building strength and muscle, which is great, but without a nutrition strategy and enough movement, fat loss stalls fast.

🍎 Just “eating healthy” - without the stimulus from training, your body has no reason to change its composition. You’ll feel better but the results plateau quickly.

The truth is fat loss isn’t a one-tool job. It never has been.

Cardio and movement keep your heart healthy and your daily calorie burn up. Weight training builds and preserves the muscle that shapes your body and drives your metabolism. Nutrition is the environment that makes all of it work.

Take one away and the other two can only do so much 🤷

Have you noticed how much easier lateral raises are when you’re leaning away from something?

This is because there is less resistance at the bottom of the movement meaning less shoulder activation

Instead - try leaning the opposite way such as on an upright bench to maximise the movement and get more time under tension for more muscle growth

An insightful reminder from Melinda for anyone in a deficit - are you only relying on scale weight as a form of measuring progress?

It’s important to look at multiple objective progress forms such as measurements and the fit of your clothes to see if you are on track even if the scale weight isn’t changing!
